Another Week, Another Hack. WHSmith suffer cyber attack.

It appears each week we are met with the headline of another UK business being the victim of a cyber attack. From Royal Mail to JD Sports, it’s apparent that hackers are in full affect this year.

WHSmith has become the latest victim of these heinous attacks, leading to the hackers gaining current and former employee information.

WHSmith has come forth and said that the hack has not affected its website, customer accounts or customer databases and that these are on an unaffected separate system.

Although employee information has been compromised, having other data such as customer databases stored separately has prevented it from being compromised in the attack.
