Laptop Backup

Most companies have managers and sales people who travel around, they use laptops and some of the information on those laptops really needs to be backed up. The problem is the laptops have intermittent internet access and are not on the company network.

Backup Systems address this problem using a sophisticated laptop agent. Whenever the laptop is connected to the internet, the agent transfers data to the main on-site Backup Server, thereby protecting the data.

The agent uses optimized data transfer to keep bandwidth usage to an absolute minimum. The transfer is encrypted in transit and can be throttled by the user to reduce interference with other applications.

The user selects the directories and file types that need to be backed up and the frequency of the backup. Once transmitted to the on-site Backup Server, the data is integrated with the company's other data and can be accessed by administrators in the same way. The data will be subject to point-in-time snapshots and further replication to the cloud or a secondary site.
